About National Women in Transport
Our aim is to showcase, support and increase the number of Australian women working in transport. One way we’ll do this is through our Speaker Bureau.
We’ll establish partnerships and collaborate to create culture change and combat transport worker stereotypes.
This is an initiative of Australia’s infrastructure and transport ministers who agreed to the Women In Transport Initiative at the Infrastructure and Transport Ministers’ Meeting (ITMM) in May 2021.
The initiative is supported by the Australian Government and coordinated by the National Transport Commission.
